I’m just 2 – 3 weeks away from finishing my all-new Lightroom 4 Develop series, which has been completely re-written and is in production. This comprehensive new series will be 17 videos formatted for your browser, your iPad, and your iPhone.

Purchase the current LR3 Develop series now (online version only), and I’ll give you a free pass to the new online version of the LR4 Develop series, just as soon as it is completed. Having this series will give you solid tutorials that cover the Basic Tone controls that have changed, but which are still available using the 2010 Process Version in both LR3 and LR4.

If you’d like to see what serious learners have said about my current Lightroom Develop series, click here. This new series will be better than ever, but still affordably priced at just $24.95 for online access, and $34.95 for DVD’s via Amazon.

If you’re not ready to purchase, but would like to be notified the moment we’re online with the new series, simply drop a comment below. Your e-mail will not be visible, but I’ll put your name on the notification list.

Hi George,

I already have LR3 & your recent LR4. Will their be any big difference with LR4.1 vs LR4? For those of use who already have your LR4 would it be worth purchasing your upcoming LR4.1?

Best,

Stu

Hi Stu,
If you own a current LR4 video series of mine, it is Library. The 4.1 Develop series is a completely different series, and only covers the LR4.x Develop module. So, for people who own my current LR4 Library series, yes! The new series will definitely be a great addition!

But if I’m reading your e-mail correctly, no, there are no real differences in Lightroom (the app), between 4.0 and 4.1. Some bug fixes, and new camera support is about it, I think.

Did I get that right? :-)

Hi George
I’m sure that your new series will be as superb as the LR3 videos that I bought. I just went back to refresh myself on the Lens Correction Panel and was reminded of how well your approach promotes an *understanding* of the controls. Not just how to use them, but how to use them well.

The powerful new Develop Module in LR4 is the reason I upgraded from LR3. If you match the depth and clarity of your previous videos, I’m signing up for your new LR4 series too.

PS– I notice that LR 4.1 RC2 offers a separate tab for CA and Defringe controls which is a change from the first release of LR4.

Hi George,

I bought the LR 3 online develop series a while ago and would be interested in upgrading. Do you have an upgrade price?

BTW, I think your tutorials are excellent. I do find my self hoping that you post more “bits and pieces” on your blog. They don’t really have to be videos. I just find your take and point of view on LR, PS and photography interesting and enjoyable.

Thanks,

Randy

Thanks, Randy!

Yes, I’ll be offering a $19.95 “upgrade” price for previous Develop series purchasers.

Hope that helps!

I appreciate the detailed approach of the LR4 Library tutorials. Looking forward to the LR4 Develop series as I transition from a full-time psychology practice to more free time with camera and LR. Thanks for the details.

Good news, thanks George. Yours are far and away the best LR tutorials I have seen.
BTW: will you include explanations of the new defringing tools included in the latest Release Candidate? I’d be very interested to see how you use those.

George April 29, 2012 at 2:15 PM

Thanks, Mark.

Yes, I’ll be covering the new controls.

Hi George

I recently reviewed all the Lightroom 3 videos and I am sure I learned as much the second time around, especially the Photoshop plus Lightroom integration. Your Shoji screen project was a great example of how integration works between the two programs.

Great training and well worth the price. I will be first in line when you release the new Lightroom 4 develop series and have no complaints whether you offer any discounts to previous customers or not.

I have not purchased any DVDs because I am understanding as long as you are in business any previously purchased videos will always be available on line, am I missing anything by not having the DVDs?

Thanks, Floyd

George April 29, 2012 at 4:35 PM

Thanks for your comments, Floyd. Glad you’re getting a lot out of the videos.

The DVD contains the entire Flash presentation that you get online, plus the iPad formatted video files. If any one who purchases the online version wants download links for the iPad files, I provide them upon request. So if you download those, then you have pretty much everything that is on the DVD.

I received the information for viewing via the iPad a while back from George. Looks and works great with the iPad 2. I bet the videos really pops with the new iPad with the Retina display.

Now I also have his videos within iTunes where I am able via iPad 2 to view on my large LED Sharp TV. The videos really look cool via then large screen. So now I can set back in my recliner and enjoy his videos. Looking forward to his next release.

George, you’re processing strategies from LR3 were eye-openers, particularly the HSL module. I’m looking forward to your take on the new basic controls.

Hi George,

Just working my way through the LR4 library tutorials and will revisit the LR3 develop tutorials to refresh my memory (didn’t use LR3 much but I assume the tutorials will assist me with LR4 until your new videos are finalised). Have recommended your tutorials to many as I think they are the best training tool I have ever invested in. Worth every cent. Thanks!!

George May 12, 2012 at 4:36 AM

Thanks, Michele. I’ll notify you when the new Develop is ready. Just days away now!
