Chapter Markers for the Lightroom 4 Develop Videos, for iPad and Downloads…

Photograph © George A. Jardine

These chapter markers have been integrated into the new iPad downloads that are available by just mailing a request to me at georgej@gmail.com. Once you’ve downloaded the video files, you will also find that you can use these chapter markers in iTunes, or in the Quicktime Movie Player application. If you’re using iTunes or an iPad, you’ll also find that you can beam the videos directly to your AppleTV using Airplay, which—in my book—is by far the best way to watch them. :-)

You can also use these timecodes as a way to jump to the spot you want to watch in the online Flash UI, but please be patient. It takes a moment for the server to catch up each time you click, even on a very fast connection. If you have an HTML5-compatible browser, you may have better luck hitting various time markers with the HTML5 video interface, because it’s a bit more responsive. You’ll find the link to the HTML5 series on your purchase confirmation page.

Mr. Jardine,
Is there some way that I can download the LR4 Develop module to my IPad??
Lately I find myself in the Oncology Dept. of Lahey Clinic and it would let me learn as I wait.
Your presentation style is fantastic.
Thanks
Paul Casco

Good afternoon George, Just upgraded to LR4 and taken up your latest LR4 Library tutorials in Html5 that is running well on Windows 7 in Firefox; excellent! Now going to take up LR4 Develop Tutorials but want to know whether you are going to provide any tutorials to cover “Book” and “Map” modules? Regards, John

George August 13, 2012 at 1:27 PM

Hi John,
Glad that’s working for you!
There is definitely a video on using .gpx tracks with the Map module coming in a workflow series that I’m putting together for September. And, working with the GPS track offset and such issues will no doubt make it into a free video shortly after that. But these will be GPS basics… not a comprehensive tutorial on the entire Map module. Also, sorry, I do not plan to do anything on the book module right now.
Hope this helps!
George
