Coming up in early June, I’ll be offering a brand-new workshop in conjunction with the Lone Tree Photography Club, and sponsored by the Front Range Photography Meetup Group. This workshop will offer a soup-to-nuts look at image preparation for output. We will do a deep dive on several techniques for sizing, sharpening, and compression for web output, as well as for printing to ink jet printers.

This new class will be four hours in length, from 9AM – 1PM, on Saturday, June 1, and will be limited to 20 participants. It will be held at the Lone Tree Civic Center, and admission will be $29.95, payable directly to the Lone Tree Photography Club. As a bonus, everyone who signs up for this new workshop, will also receive a free copy of my Lightroom Library 4 Video DVD, a $34.95 value.

For more information, or to register, check out the Lone Tree Photography Club posting, here.

Hope to see you there!

Hi George, I’m interested in your Preparing Images for Output workshop. However, I do not have a laptop. Would the workshop still be of value?

Thank You,
Tanya

I think definitely yes, Tanya. This workshop will be pretty interactive, driven quite a bit by Q&A and discussions. It will not be as much of an “exercise-driven” workshop, as my previous Develop and processing workshops have been.

I hope that helps!

George, I would love to see a webinar or a DVD offered on this subject.

I might do that, Tammy! But…. why not come to the class? :-)

George,
I’m signed up for the June 8th version of this work shop, should you have enough to offer it. My question is I currently use Aperature 3 for my post processing.
Will I be able to transfer whatever knowledge gained from lightroom over to Aperature or will I need to change over to LightRoom exclusively

George May 28, 2013 at 1:45 PM

Bob, the workshop is not so much about Lightroom. We will use both Lightroom and Photoshop to build examples of re-sizing, sharpening, and output. So it should transfer for you if you use Aperture.

George,

I’ll be attending the class tomorrow (June 8). Will you have some of your other module DVDs for sale at the class?

Thanks,

Todd

Yes! We sell them at the events at the special price of $30 each.

See you there!

I live in the UK, trips to camera club near you are just not feasible. I’d love a printing tutorial. I have most of your others.
