A Few Photos From Thailand…

I’m finally posting a few photos from a recent trip to Thailand. The purpose of the trip was to teach Lightroom, supporting the December Santa Fe workshop led by Nevada Wier.

The photo above was shot on Kodachrome in 1985, using a Nikon F3 with a 24mm f/2.8 lens. So for me, a large part of returning to Bangkok after 22 long years was to re-explore some of my visual memories from that first trip, only this time shooting digital.

Bangkok is obviously a wondrous and multi-faceted place. But for me, it’s all about just a few things: the people, the food, the motorcycles, the multitude of incredible smells and aromas, and the incredible density and diversity of life on the street. So my eye for photography during this trip was all about capturing that vibrancy of the city. Incredible!

I hope you enjoy the photos. Please comment if you wish.
